Denver Center for Birth and Wellness exists to provide an environment of care that empowers, supports, and partners with women to achieve and maintain health at all phases of their lives. We offer the midwifery model of care, including well-woman care, prenatal care, and water birth in a uniquely comfortable environment with a goal of developing a life-long, personal relationship with our clients.  

We are currently seeking a new member of our team to be the lead as our Office Manager. The right person for this role is dynamic, detail-oriented, organized, is happy to wear several hats to contribute to a great team, and loves supporting women and families. This position will start as a part-time role and will lead to a full-time position for the right person.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth operation of the clinic and creating an exceptional client experience from start of care to postpartum while working with members of both the administrative and clinical staff. Daily duties will include:

     -Opening the office each day and ensuring readiness for clients/closing operations

    -Answering phones and emails, scheduling client appointments

    -Hosting new clients for Meet and Greets

    -Assisting with basic insurance billing questions, providing clients with payment plans and cost estimates

    -Managing supply and equipment budgets and re-ordering processes 

    -Following up on records requests and assisting with medical record documentation 

    -Initiating maintenance requests/scheduling repairs 

    -Reviewing vendor contracts and identifying opportunities for cost or time savings

    -Coordinate staff meetings and scheduling 

    -Oversee and participate in daily housekeeping of the center

    -Fully understand Colorado state regulations for birth centers and participate in the center’s programs for quality and compliance

In addition to daily operations, the individual in this position will identify opportunities to improve practice efficiency or client experience and will implement new processes or systems to address them. This individual will play a central role in the birth center’s success both by contributing their amazing personality in efforts related to new client acquisition, retention, and activities that help provide financial efficacy in operations.  

Previous experience in medical or office management is preferred. Bonus points for medical billing and insurance experience and/or experience in a field related to birth. pregnancy, or postpartum support.
