Courtney Rodriguez, CD, Postpartum Support Specialist
Courtney is a CAPPA certified postpartum doula and lactation educator. She has a BA from the University of Colorado - Boulder. After welcoming her first baby in 2007, her birth and postpartum period were nothing like she expected. She felt ill-prepared for breastfeeding and newborn care...and never even gave a single thought to self care! This was her inspiration to begin a career helping families in the postpartum period. Fast forward to 2018...she has had 2 more children of her own and supported close to 75 families!
Courtney’s mission as a doula is to meet families where they are, offer education to help them make informed decisions, give space and rest to bond with baby, and encourage confidence to follow their intuition. After all, a postpartum doula is only with your family for a short time...but intuition and confidence as a parent last forever. She especially loves supporting families in the first few hours, days and weeks after welcoming a new baby. The guidelines, recommendations, and opportunities are ever changing when it comes to babies...Courtney loves to further her education and stay up to date on the latest research and products in order to pass that knowledge onto families. She feels thankful everyday to be able to share this special time with families!
Outside of postpartum work, Courtney enjoys spending time in Denver and the surrounding mountains with her husband and 3 wonderful children.
